Streets and place names can easily be added to any map to create the look and feel you're after. Basemaps offer you the flexibility to build and customize your map so it includes the information that the reader needs to orient himself. Two of the most useful (and underutilized) Basemaps are "Esri Reference Labels" and "Esri World Transportation". Combined, these two maps can be used with aerial imagery and other operational data to add street centerlines, road names and common place names (e.g. parks, cities). Turning these layers on is as simple as clicking the Basemap button in the top-center of the screen and clicking over the thumbnail of interest. Happy map-making!
